SUPERFLY 100 -The Buzz of the Show
A FISHER 29ER IS A BETTER 29ER
We're calling it: 29ers are mainstream. A big wheeler is no longer a badge of individuality. 29ers are now a badge of practicality. Be it race bike, singlespeed, hardtail, new rider or experienced rider ... 29ers offer an advantage --Bigger wheels maintain momentum better than 26" wheels. More momentum means a faster bike.
Whats New?
Superfly 100 is the first full suspension carbon 29er on the market.
-2200g fuselage (frame, rear shock and hardware) Make it the lightest full suspension race bike Fisher has ever made - 26" or 29".
-Decreased wheelbased
A common criticism of full suspension 29er is the long wheelbase. So Fisher reimagined a 29er full suspension frame to achieve a shorter, nimbler wheelbase.
They achieved this by moving the seat tube forward and out of the way of the rear wheel and shortened the chainstay. Also by incorporating a direct mount front derailleur they saved an additional 9mm vs. clamp on front derailleur.
2009: Chainstay = 462mm
Wheelbase = 1126mm
2010: Chainstay = 451mm
Wheelbase = 1114mm

"Superfly? Superfast!"
"Quicker handling than my 26er."

CRONUS
Best Handling Road Bike. PERIOD.
An endurance bike that handles well enough to win a crit, and fits comfortably enough for century rides, without compromising on either front.
From Trek World 2010"
Rather than addressing one item on the bike to correct handling they took a systematic approach. They invented a test to show what was happpening underneath the rider and isolate each component in the steering column (tire, rim, spokes, hub, fork, headtube). They then addressed the entire steering column to create a more responsive bike. The result is a quick, lively feel that inspires the kind of confidence needed to really throw your bike into a corner - and across the finish line first.
-Tapered 1-1/8 to 1.5" headtube improves steering precision.
-Wide Stance Fork -Wide-stance FCC fork legs accommodate a Fisher exclusive taller FCC hub, increasing front wheel stiffness by 27% over the 2009 best-in-class fork/wheel.
RACE UTILITY
We love riding on warm, bluebird days, However, riding sometimes means pedaling in cold drizzle, snow, grit, torrential rain, mud and slush. Still a bad day riding in the slop outdoors is still better than a good day on the indoor trainer. This real-world riding experience led us to design a performance bike for, well, the real world.
Vanishing fender mounts. Fenders keep you more comfortable (dry butt and feet), and also reduce the amount of dirt that contaminates the drivetrain. What looks like drain holes are actually discreet fender mounts. The included fender mounts screw into the frame and can accommodate trational fenders. With fenders, the Cronus can house 25c or smaller tires. And if you're lucky enough to be riding or racing in ideal conditions, the fender mounts are invisible when not attached to the bike.
Massive tire clearance. The Cronus has CPSC- approved clearance for teh 28c tires and 25c tires with fenders.
External cable routing makes for easier cable and housing changes.
Standard 27.2 seatpost.
